2016 June 7
We met Louise Shearer at her house in Kingstown Maryland, where we sat down and discussed her family’s ties to the war. After talking about both her father’s and uncle’s roles in the war, Mrs. Shearer showed us her collection of artifacts that were left over from her father. These artifacts included: V-Mail from her mother and father, post cards, a wedding license, a leaflet given to the soldiers on their way back home, an old WWII uniform, and more.
