Millie strong spent much of her time during the war at her home, Trumpington Manor in Rock Hall Maryland.  She spoke about how she and the other women in her family had to do all the farm work because their father had died and her brothers had all gone off to war.  She also talked about her husband who was stationed in Cape May New Jersey. She would often visit him, and observe the day to day work on the base.
