2015 June 18
James Valliant joined the Navy after being drafted at 18, opting for a radar program due to a family connection with a naval admiral. His naval service took him to various locations, including China and Japan, where he witnessed the aftermath of war. Upon returning home, he experienced relief and was greeted warmly by his family. Despite the tragedy of losing his brother in World War II, Valliant retains a deep appreciation for history and his family's legacy. Celebrating VJ Day brought immense relief and joy to both him and the entire nation.
