Haim Loran is a Jewish Hungarian man who lived in Budapest during World War II. He talks about how his family managed to acquire Swedish passports in an effort to stay safe from the Germans and how his brother was taken away from him anyway. He shares his experiences under German occupation, his memories of the Seige of Budapest, and his life under Soviet occupation until 1949. Haim discusses freedom, communism, democracy, and living in a war-torn country.
