In this interview, Alan Koblin speaks about growing up during World War 2. He was 10 years old when the war began and close to 15 when it ended. He shares his memories of seeing warships, helping during air raids, buying war stamps and bonds, and collecting metal and papers. He also mentions joining the food inspection service as part of service in Korea and thus avoiding actually going overseas to fight.
