A Washington College diploma issuing a Master's degree to "Johannem Scott", dated June 1785. The diploma is written entirely in Latin and cursive; most of the text is typeset, with the date, name, and degree filled in by a handwritten script. A long blue ribbon is tied to the bottom of the diploma; attached to the ribbon is the College seal.
