Former Republican U.S. Representative Robert E. Bauman gave a talk for the William James Forum, "Gay and Conservative." He was introduced by Washington College's Dr. Richard H. Brown who had come out in 1975. Bauman began by reading a letter he received objecting to his speaking at the college. The speech examined Bauman's journey as both a Gay man, a Republican, and a Catholic. There was a question and answer session at the end. This recording is divided into two parts.
