A certified 1854 copy of William H. Wilmer’s 1826 will on file with the Orphan’s Court of Alexandria, Virginia. Wilmer left his wife, Ann Brice, in charge of his estate, which included property in Ohio. He also wanted his daughters to receive a larger share than sons due to "Helplessness of their sex."
